Welcome to my website

This website is an online gallery for my landscape paintings. I live in Achiltibuie, a remote village on the north west coast of Scotland, and my work is derived from my surroundings.

I am drawn by the ever changing light, luminous colour and the extraordinary form that exists in this corner of the Highlands. The paintings aim to reflect my response to this unique landscape on both a physical and an emotional level.

The work is on canvas or board using mixed media - usually acrylic paint, ink, oil pastel and sometimes found papers. A specific location may be the starting point for a piece but the painting is allowed to develop organically, in an abstract direction, away from the original sketches and ideas.

Original works are posted on the site when available. In addition I have a number of limited edition prints available to order online. Please feel free to call me and discuss any requirements you may have.
